24 Who can listen to this proposal of yours? No, the same share that is given to the one who goes down to the battle will be given to the one who stays with the supplies. They shall have an equal share.” 25 So from that day forward, David made this a rule and precedent for Israel that lasts to this day.
26 When David came to Ziklag, he sent some of the plunder to the elders of Judah, who were sympathetic to him,[a] and said, “Look, here is a blessing for you from the plunder taken from the Lord’s enemies.”
